Overview of the BABC Pittsburgh Chapter

The British–American Business Council Pittsburgh Region, Inc. (BABC) is an international business association that promotes trade and investment between the United States and the United Kingdom. Through an active program of events, publications, marketing and trade services, the BABC provides business contacts, promotional opportunities, business intelligence opportunities, and information services to member corporations.

Established in 1995, the BABC Pittsburgh Region is one of 26 business associations/chambers of commerce based throughout the United Kingdom and North America that comprise the internationally renowned “The British-American Business Council.” “The British-American Business Council” is the largest transatlantic business network, with individual chapters, 3,000 member companies, based in most major business regions throughout North America and the United Kingdom.

All the BABC chapters are independent, regional, British-American business organizations that support and participate in the “The British-American Business Council” to provide a broader transatlantic business network for their member companies.

The BABC Pittsburgh Region is committed to forming domestic and transatlantic partnerships with other business and trade providers in order to create an environment where investment and trade can flourish. It serves as an important vehicle for bringing together the British and American business communities to offer expertise, experience, education, develop alliances, enhance and expand existing businesses, and create new business opportunities.
