Westinghouse Electric Co. won a $30 million contract Tuesday to provide fuel for a nuclear power plant in South Africa.
The company was chosen by Eskom Holdings Limited to provide three reloads of nuclear fuel for the Koeberg Nuclear Power Plant near Cape Town beginning in late 2011 and ending in 2015.
Eskom generates 95 percent of South Africa’s electricity. The fuel will come from a fabrication plant operated by Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB in Vasteras, Sweden.
